Posing Clinic In Lexington, KY!!

NGA Promoter Josh Miller is presenting a Free Posing Clinic at Genesis Health Club (also known as Esporta), featuring legendary Figure Pro Courtney Spaeth. The event is titled as “A Rare Alignment Of Greatness,” which couldn’t be more true. Sometimes, the stars align and a world class event is able to take place when schedules permit and likeminded people work together. This Posing Clinic is a great way to start a pivotal year for drug-free, natural bodybuilding in Kentucky.

Josh Miller is one the NGA’s top promoters. He’d be successful in whatever federation he was involved with. If he ever worked with the NPC, he’d be another Brent Jones in my humble opinion. I can make such a statement because I’ve covered hundreds of shows and worked alongside dozens of promoters. There’s something very special about Josh. His work ethic is second to none and he’s truly a team player. For example, he’s handed over one of his most successful shows, The Bluegrass Bodybuilding Championships, to David Jones and Emily Hickerson Thomas, to find a new home in Louisville. Miller will stay on as co-promoter, providing invaluable guidance and assistance, but my gut tells me that his involvement will only be as-needed. What’s important to keep in mind is that just because Louisville is Kentucky’s largest city ,it does not guarantee it will draw similar numbers out of the gate as it did in Lexington. The previous contest in Louisville had a dedicated promoter with tremendous heart, but it had been languishing for years. Similarly, the contest in Frankfort wasn’t doing much better even though it had a big-name promoter.

2026 stands to be a monumental year for natural bodybuilding in Kentucky.

The upcoming posing clinic at Genesis Health Club should draw out a who’s who of NGA talent, but its doors are open to all. One of the best things about posing clinics, especially those in the preseason, is that the stress is totally off. No one expects participants to come dialed in. It’s not a contest or a photo shoot. It’s about perfecting posing, learning more about the sport, and/or just saying hello. Networking is key and I’ve always believed that posing clinics are a great way to get out there and be seen. That’s why StrengthAddicts / NattyCompetitors will be in the house. I’ll be snapping candids, doing interviews, potentially livestreaming and hyping up the upcoming NGA shows in Kentucky.

If you can’t make it to the posing clinic on February 11th in Lexington, I’m hoping there will be a huge posing clinic in Louisville. One of the premier gyms in the Louisville area is BodySolutionz in Saint Matthews. It’s owned and operated by bodybuilder/coach Richard Sparks and features one of the area’s most sought-after trainers in NGA Figure Pro Lindsay Pelfrey. Lindsey electrified audiences in Cincinnati and Lexington and has amassed an impressive social media presence. Her following isn’t limited to Instagram; however, her friends and fans are very much in real-time as well.

A big part of the NGA being successful in Louisville, hinges on a big picture mentality. There’s no reason the NGA should ride sidecar to the NPC. The NGA has the potential to run parallel to the NPC in Kentucky’s largest city. This is why an upcoming posing clinic at BodySolutionz makes so much sense to me. I don’t know if it will happen, but just the thought of it, with GymJohn Productions in the house, StrengthAddicts, plus maybe some great companies involved? That sounds like liquid gold to me. Again, just because Louisville is Kentucky’s largest city, DOES NOT mean it’s going to do Lexington numbers or better right out of the gate. I can’t stress that enough. You have to make competitors WANT to come here, prep for the show, and battle for that title. But I digress.

There’s TALENT in Louisville! We can’t forget southern Indiana, either!

With the right people involved, not only will the Bluegrass Bodybuilding Championships find a home sweet home in Louisville, but it may lead to a second NGA contest for city as well. Ideally, Kentucky will have two shows in Lexington, two shows in Louisville, and maybe more in other cities.

I’ve been trying to get Brent Jones back in the mix for years. I also think Richard & Lindsay would make phenomenal promoters, as would Chadd & Robbi Tyler. We also have one of the best coaches in the region right here, in MR. STEVE WEINGARTEN! We also have a number of great gyms, like The Factory Gym (Hardcore Since ’84) and Everyday Athletes, among others. That being said though, BodySolutionz is just on another level. If the NGA had a posing clinic there? Forget about it! It’d be a HOMERUN!!!

But leave it to me to write a book whenever I start talking about bodybuilding! If you’ve made it this far, it ain’t news to you. We all love this sport. From those of you who compete, to people like me in the media, as well as all the great businesses, and of course – THE FANS! Competitors and fans are what make all of this possible. And Natural Bodybuilding is where it’s at. It just needs to be marketed correctly. There’s PLENTY of room for Enhanced Bodybuilding AND Natural Bodybuilding. It’s not about which one’s better – it’s about providing all competitors with the best competitive opportunities, possible. At least that’s how I look at it.
